Finding my rainbow
By Michelle Klear
Finding my rainbow
In a dark and dirty world
Full of fear and hatred
How does one look out to see the best in me?
Always judging what will become of me.
I am still looking for my place
To call home
I still want so much more then I can have
I can live like this forever
However, I don’t know how much my heart can endure
In a world, that makes me insecure.
Finding my rainbow
All the colors defined
All the lines in place
All the people disgraced
All my dreams mine
In a dark and dirty world
With so few standing in the light,
I wonder what will become of my rainbow at night.

Needing you to want only me
Taking over this greedy need
I do not care that it is not right
I want you day and night
All mine, only me
Everything you think about
Yes green-eyed jealousy
No day goes by I do not wonder
You have drifted off to sea
Long gone our time together
It leaves me with jealousy
I am not her, I never will be
I am only me, what I want to give you
Yes green-eyed jealousy
Needing only you
Wanting only me.
